Scheduler: Enhanced Visibility Controls for Booking Links
New Feature: Enhanced Visibility Controls for Online Booking
Overview
The latest update to Online Booking introduces enhanced visibility controls, giving practices greater flexibility in how your offices various services appear across your scheduling workflows. This improvement helps practices maintain a clear and patient-friendly booking experience while supporting internal scheduling, marketing campaigns, and reactivation efforts.
What’s New
You can now control where each service appears by selecting one or both of the following options:
- Public Booking Pages – Includes Reserve with Google and embedded booking pages on your practice website.
- DSO Scheduler – Used for internal or enterprise-level scheduling.
Each service can be made visible on one, both, or neither of these platforms. By default, both options are selected to preserve your current configuration. You can update these settings at any time on the Location > Online Booking Setup page.
Why It Matters
This update gives your team more control and flexibility across scheduling workflows. You can now:
- Keep patient-facing booking pages focused and easy to navigate.
- Support internal-only or campaign-specific service offerings.
- Streamline reactivation and marketing workflows without creating duplicate configurations.
With this enhancement, Online Booking adapts to the way your practice operates—helping you create a better patient experience while maintaining operational efficiency.
How It Works
Go into Scheduler by Jarvis, and on your Location > Online Booking Setup > Servies Configuration section, a new “Show On” column appears with two checkboxes for each service:
- Public Booking Page – Toggles visibility on patient-facing scheduling pages. (watch this example of toggling on services to show on a booking page)

- DSO Scheduler – Toggles visibility in internal scheduling tools. This is a great option for Restorative services, as patients often do not know the scheduling requirements for these services. (Watch this example of toggling on services to appear within the DSO Scheduling Tab on your Calendar Module)

If you deselect a box, that service will no longer appear in the associated scheduling environment.
Direct/Private URL
Even if a service is hidden from public or internal views, it remains bookable via a direct service link, provided the service’s Active toggle is turned on.
To create a direct booking link:
- Ensure your service does not have either DSO or Public toggled On.
- At the end of your existing booking URL, add the parameter &service_id=XX to the end of the link.
- Replace XX with the service ID listed on the Online Booking Mappings page.
- Share the new link for direct/private bookings as needed.
Example:
- The booking URL is: https://schedule.jarvisanalytics.com/frame/demo?location_id=1714
- Then simply add &service_id=261 to the end to get your booking link.
