Purpose
The Appointment Capacity Report is a new tool designed to make scheduling appointments easier for dental practices. It helps improve how efficiently appointments are set. This report gives a clear view of important metrics across different locations, like the number of scheduled appointments, provider counts, booked hours, and lead times for different types of appointments. By quickly checking performance, practices can find areas to improve, balance workloads, and make patients happier.
Use Cases & Benefits
Practices can use this report to improve their scheduling by looking at times when appointment volumes are high or low. This helps spread out patient appointments more evenly throughout the day or week, reducing busy times and making better use of provider availability. By looking at booked hours and provider counts, managers can better assign staff, ensuring each location has enough coverage without overstaffing, which is important for practices with multiple providers or locations.
The report also helps manage how far in advance appointments are booked. By knowing the lead times for different types of appointments, practices can offer quicker services for urgent care while managing regular check-ups efficiently. Also, using the low wait times shown in the Appointment Capacity Report can help with targeted marketing efforts, bringing more patients to less busy locations and using resources better across the practice.
