Addressing Unscheduled Treatment
Existing patients with pending treatment on the books is an untapped revenue stream for many practices. However, it can be difficult to get a patient to schedule their needed treatment. Here are a few ways to increase the chances of a patient scheduling the presented treatment:
- Be sure patients truly understand the treatment being presented. Ask clarifying questions to check for their understanding.
- Be sure the patients fully understand WHY the treatment is important for their dental and overall health.
- Review all treatment and financial options, including insurance coverage where applicable, so that the patient feels comfortable with the money they are spending.
- Build trust. Trust in the proposed treatment, the information you provided on its benefits, and confidence in the payment options are all essential to having patients follow through with your recommended dental treatment.
Now that you have a rough idea of how you should work with a patient to get them scheduled, let’s go through how Jarvis Analytics can make it easy for you to find them.
From the Front Office Module, select the Schedule tab, and scroll down to Unscheduled Treatments tab, then filter it by your chosen criteria. In this example, we filtered by highest production appointment.
